Return & Refund Policy

Updated – Effective Date: October 29, 2025

Attribution. Clear split between quality vs. non-quality reasons.
QC & Evidence. Dual inspection (pre-dispatch and upon-arrival sampling), AQL level [to be agreed]; photos/videos are accepted as evidence.
Fees & Split. Quality-related returns are handled by OYB per policy; non-quality returns follow the creator’s customer policy (anything beyond statutory obligations is at the creator’s discretion).

Scope of Responsibility.
OYB is responsible for agreed product quality (per your confirmed specs) and for any fulfillment we undertake. We do not participate in or assume responsibility for your independent sales policies (pricing, promotions, or return windows beyond statutory obligations).

At OwnUrBloom (OYB), our refund and return framework is designed to ensure fairness, maintain product quality, and protect all parties — both our entrepreneurs (“you”) and the Platform.

OYB operates strictly as a fulfillment and manufacturing partner and does not sell directly to end customers. As an entrepreneur, you are the seller of record and have full autonomy to establish your own customer-facing return and refund policies.

This policy governs back-end returns and quality-related refunds between entrepreneurs and OYB only.


1. OYB Official Return Standards (Back-End Fulfillment Policy)

1.1 Return Window & General Conditions.
OYB accepts returns and refunds only under the verified conditions described below:

  • Returns must be initiated within 14 days of delivery (based on carrier tracking).

  • Items must be in original condition — unused, unworn, unwashed, with all tags and original packaging intact.

  • Proof of purchase (order number or invoice) is required.

  • Unauthorized returns without prior approval will be rejected.

Pre-Shipment Cancellations.
Orders may be canceled or modified free of charge before shipment by contacting hello@ownurbloom.com. 

Post-Shipment Cancellations.
Once shipped, orders cannot be canceled. If you wish to initiate a return after shipping, contact OYB for authorization. Customers are responsible for return postage. OYB can provide a prepaid label; the label cost will be deducted from the refund.

1.2 Eligible Return Scenarios.
OYB will accept and process returns only under the following verified conditions:

  • Damaged or defective item upon arrival.

  • Incorrect item, quantity, or variant shipped.

  • Missing parts or manufacturing defect.

Reporting Window.
Quality-related issues must be reported within 3 calendar days of delivery with supporting photographic or video evidence.

Procedure.
Email hello@ownurbloom.com with your order number, proof of issue, and a brief description. Once verified, OYB will either issue a full refund to the original payment method or send a replacement item at no additional cost. Approved returns must be shipped back within 7 business days of approval.

Do not return items to the address printed on the parcel. All approved returns must be shipped to:

Late, unauthorized, or unverified returns will not be accepted and will not qualify for a refund or replacement.

1.3 Non-Eligible Returns.
For safety and quality reasons, the following are not eligible for return or refund: items damaged through misuse, negligence, or improper handling; products altered or repaired without OYB authorization; damage caused by accidents, natural disasters, or transit mishandling after delivery; normal wear and tear or cosmetic imperfections not affecting usability; lost or stolen items after confirmed delivery; worn, washed, or soiled items, or items missing tags, packaging, or hygiene seals; clearance, sample, or promotional giveaway items; custom, personalized, or made-to-order products; hazardous materials, flammable items, or restricted substances. OYB reserves the right to reject any return deemed to have been intentionally damaged, altered, or fraudulently claimed.

1.4 Refund Process.
Once the return is received and inspected: processing time is up to 48 business hours after arrival at our facility. Refunds for approved claims are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days after approval. Depending on the bank or payment provider, funds may take up to 14 business days to appear. For refund status updates, email hello@ownurbloom.com with your order reference.


2. Entrepreneur-Level Customer Policy

As an entrepreneur using OYB’s services, you define and control your own customer-facing refund and return policy. You may display your chosen policy on your brand store website, social media storefront (e.g., TikTok Shop, Instagram), or checkout/confirmation pages.

Examples.
“30-Day No-Questions-Asked Returns.”
“Exchange Only — No Refunds.”
“Final Sale — No Returns or Exchanges.”

Recommended Template.
“We offer a 14-day return guarantee for quality-related issues. Please contact us for a replacement or refund. For non-quality returns, shipping costs will be deducted from the refund.”

As long as your policy complies with applicable U.S. law (e.g., the FTC Cooling-Off Rule), you retain full independence. OYB bears no responsibility for the policies or promises you make to your customers.


3. Dual-Track Return Workflow

Quality-related issue — Initiator: Customer → You → OYB; Approver: OYB; Cost responsibility: OYB covers return + re-shipment.
Non-quality return — Initiator: Customer → You; Approver: You; Cost responsibility: You decide (absorb or charge customer).

Workflow.

  1. Customer contacts you (the seller).

  2. You review the issue and determine if it qualifies as quality-related.
     ✅ If yes: forward the verified claim and photos to hello@ownurbloom.com.
     ❌ If no: handle directly per your stated customer policy.

  3. OYB verifies the issue within 48 business hours.

  4. Approved claims are refunded or replaced within 5 business days.


4. Fees & Deductions

Quality-related returns: OYB covers all associated costs — these do not affect your revenue share.
Non-quality returns: You determine whether to deduct shipping costs from the customer’s refund or absorb them.
Unauthorized returns or fraudulent claims will result in denied reimbursement.


5. Fraud Prevention & Quality Assurance

To protect both parties and ensure a fair experience: claims must include clear photographic or video evidence. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to advise customers to record unboxing videos for verification. A return rate exceeding 15% in a given month may trigger account review or temporary fulfillment suspension. Fraudulent activities (e.g., product swaps, fake claims, misuse of refunds) may result in account termination and legal action.

OYB maintains a pre-shipment quality control process that includes multi-point inspections and sampling to help ensure a return rate below 1% platform-wide.


6. Limitation of Liability & Risk Transfer

By using OYB Services, you acknowledge and agree that OYB’s responsibility ends upon successful delivery of goods to the carrier or upon confirmed receipt by the customer. OYB is not liable for: carrier delays, lost packages, or shipping errors after pickup; customer dissatisfaction due to subjective factors (fit, color, expectation mismatch, etc.); or refunds/exchanges outside verified quality-related defects. OYB’s total liability is strictly limited to the cost of the product fulfilled under the verified defective claim. In all other cases, the entrepreneur is solely responsible for resolving customer disputes and processing refunds.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OwnUrBloom, Inc., its affiliates, and employees from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your customer interactions, return policies, or representations made to end users.
